Miller EMS maintains an open application process. Essentially we accept
applications all the time however, we only interview as announced.

Setting new standards in EMS care
Application / Employment process
Submit application and all required paper work. Applications submitted without required
paper work will be immediately disqualified. It is the applicants responsibility to check
status of application.

Interview/written test: Arrive promptly to your assigned interview date. Late arrivals,
regardless of explanation, will be disqualified. Please plan your trip to the interview so
that you will arrive on time. We will gladly provide you with directions to our facility.

Written test is a general knowledge EMS test. Most basic EMT books are a great study
tool.

Once an applicant has successfully completed the interview process and is officially
considered for employment they become a candidate. The next stage is orientation.

Orientation: Orientation will consist of classroom plus field training or dispatch
experience.

Field training experience consists of a series of FTO ride alongs on our ambulances. For
dispatchers the field training experience consists of a series of supervised work activity
in the dispatch center. The employee will continue FTE until the training division makes
a determination on their ability to become a primary field employee.

Minimum age
An applicant must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for immediate
employment. If you are under 18 and would like to submit an application you are

considered for employment: Haz Mat Awareness, ICS-100, ICS-200, NIMS-700, NIMS-800,
Oklahoma state license, NREMT certification, BLS-HCP,

Paramedics must also have or be able to obtain: ACLS, PALS

Dispatchers will be required to obtain EMD certification within 60 days of employment.
Dispatchers must successfully pass certification to remain employed. Hands on training
and study materials will be provided prior to the course.
